"The Earth Knows My Name: Food, Culture, and Sustainability"

Has anyone read The Earth Knows My Name: Food, Culture, and Sustainability in the Gardens of Ethnic Americans by Patricia Klindienst?
I have just one more chapter to finish and wish that there was more to read! This book has definitely filled a void in active gardening that results from living in New England...more snow last night

Here is one link that provides reviews of this wonderful book!

It is truly a powerful book written by an author who obviously sees the connection that exists between the earth and its inhabitants.... I just ordered another copy of this wonderful book for my son and his wife....they are actually the ones who gave it to us as a gift last summer! I bought it on half.com which is an excellent source for used books!

Thanks for the tip on the good book. Looks like an interesting read. There's a lot of interest as well in heritage varieties of vegetables.
