No flowers

Hi. Seems my garden has gone dormant. LOL. I have a beautiful hydrangea bush. Gets big and full for past 2 years yet will not flowers. Could use some good tips on getting this plant to come alive with color. I cut it down each fall and come spring, it fills out nice and full but still no flowering. Thanks.

The answer to your problem was right in your post. You are pruning the flower buds off every fall; big leaf hydrangea sets bud in the late summer.
That bud needs to be protected for the winter so it doesn't get frosted off (from those late frosts too); read up on 'Endless Summer if you want an easier hydrangea. Either that or learn the pruning technique for your current one; our hydrangea page can answer your questions...
