Wilted Hydrangea?!?!

A new plant was fertilized with a general acid fertilizer. Is this what has caused it to wilt??

Thanks

If it had too much fertilizer, it may have fried the roots of the plant.

Hydrangeas are notorious for needing water, so if the plant has not had enough it will wilt very quickly.
