Does hydrangea look like a weed?

I have been trying to figure out what I planted along side part of my fence. I can't remember from last summer...so I've been letting this grow and have been waiting for some type of clue as to what it could be...I concluded yesterday that it was a weed so today I pulled it up and to my dismay I saw that whatever this is was once from a container (the base was round like when you pull a small shrub out of the container). So, I knew that I must have purposefully planted it and that it wasn't a weed. I'm wondering if it is a hydrangea. Do they sometimes look like weeds before they bloom?
I hope I can bring it back....

A lot of things look like weeds before they bloom. I usually wait until they flower before I pull them (unless I'm sure it's a weed). I planted a really small hydrangea in the front of my house and if I didn't know what it was I'd say it looks a little weed-ish.

I suppose hydrangeas could look like weeds - here are some pictures of mine:

These are on the north facing side of my house. They are leafing out nicely after a late frost
killed back the foilage... 2 of them are just now starting to flower

Here is a closer picture of the leaves

Hope those help!!

I took some pictures of these, but how do I put them up so they can be seen and identified?

If you go to www.photobucket.com, you can upload your pictures there. When you do, there will be 3 boxes - click inside the box that has the Img code - it should automatically copy for you. Then you come back here, right click and paste. When you hit "preview" for your post, you should see the picture!

This is my climbing hydrangea - it is doing well, but no blooms yet.
