So I'm in heaven finding this forum!
I have always propagated hydrangeas by sticking a long outer branch under ground (keeping it connected to the mother plant) and then cutting away and digging up the next year. But I am moving and want ot propagate more of them.
Suggestions for cuttings in the greenhouse?

Somewhere in between the end of Spring and the start of Summer, take cuttings about 4-6" inches. Keep the top 4 leaves and prune the rest. Add some medium strength hormone containing indolebutyric acid, place down the side of a pot and keep them moist. End of Spring & start of Summer are the "optimum" time that the experts recommend but cuttings can also be taken during Winter for Macrophyllas.
