Need your hydrangea opinions -mucho pics-

Hi all! Been lurking for a while soakin up all the good info and figure its time for me to weigh in!

Not panicked about anything, water on an every other day regimine, fight fungus every year with walmart fungicide (only my second year) also fertilize w/miraclegro water soluble about once a month (only done twice). After reading the whole forum I suppose I should make a visit to my organic nursery!

Plants are pretty healthy all things considered and the mucho 100+ days we are havin here but thought I would post up some pics for your perusal and opinions. New babies been in the ground for a week and all were in rough condition when purchased (Its late, its hot, and I did it anyway!). Three smaller plants are endless summer's and the larger one came from WM the same day. Got the big one cause it looked susceptable to propogation :) .

Ready for the experts opinions, critisisms, flames, or just good natured taunts!

BTW, black thumb w/open mind!

The new, planted last week:

Scads of small flies and mosquito lookin things flyin around these new ones but they don't seem to damage them. Showed up immediately upon planting. These new babies have already had thier first Neem oil treatment.

Hi Dad Roman,

I don't have any criticism. Not sure why you thought there would be any. :) The shrubs that are growing at a slower rate in the long bed might be doing so because of more compacted soil, leaner soil or less sun or water. Since the further west you go the larger they are, I suspect the larger ones get a bit more sun.

Not sure what the browning of the leaf edges are, and none of these diseases seem to fit.

Great job!
