Oh dear...I'm a rookie

HI...I just ordered a hydrangea tree. I am a rookie gardner. I thought it would be a small, ornamental tree that I would plant in my landscaping but the paperwork says it will be 12 feet tall. So...where should I plant it? Should it be in the middle of the yard so it can get more sun, or in the landscaping by the house, or where? How much room does it need to spread out? Will it be a good tree to sit under (does it provide shade)? How fast will it grow?

I promise to learn fast!

What kind of hydrangea tree? The only ones I have met so far are PeeGees, would love to know if there are more out there as I love hydrangeas. :)

Hydrangeas like morning sun and afternoon shade, lots of water. Welcome and we want pictures!

I am waiting for the Hydrangea tree to get here. It hasn't made it yet. I'll post a picture as soon as I get it. :)

Thanks for the information on how to post pictures!
