need help with my hydrangeas
we are buying a house that has 2 hydrangeas in the yard. they look kinda peeked. they are large but not full... I don't know how to add a picture on here but could email them to anyone that is willing to give me some advise. I am in atlanta and it is red ga clay around here... please help... thanks in advance... chele[/img]
If it just looks a little less than full, you may need to trim it in places to encourage it to fill out. When to trim, and how much to trim, depends on the variety. You can trim Endless Summer anytime. Others bloom on old growth, so you need to keep more of that or else you lose your bloom. Do the current homeowners know what kind of hydrangea they are?
The clay isn't a problem, they grow here pretty well and happily.
