Hydrangeas in Tampa Bay

I've installed 3 plants (French) in a circular bed in my backyard (3 weeks ago) with bright, filtered light and shade with an hour of full sun in the evening. Plants are thriving at the moment. Any tips as to what I need to be aware of to be successful in this climate? Thanks.

You've already taken care of the one aspect I would have recommended dealing with: reducing the amount of direct sun the hydrangeas receive.

Just monitor their water needs by using your hands/fingers to see how moist/dry the soil is, and water when they need it.

So how have the plants done so far? Being new shrubs and being in the summer, I assume you are watering often and having a few wilting incidents sprinkled here and there? Any words of wisdom for the rest of us?
