Limelight and Pee Gee are both Hydrangea Paniculatas. Limelight originated from Europe (Holland) and is well known for its upright panicled blooms that open as immature blooms, its strong stems and, as hydrangeas go, drought resistant. It can be grown in awesome hedges and is very hardy. Immature blooms give it a temporary green color that can fade fast if exposed to sunlioght so it is best grown in part shade conditions. Good to Zone 3, it can be grown in full sun in the northern half of the country. The panicles will turn a white/green or creamy green color. Later in the summer, the blooms will turn pinkish.
