I live in the Houston, TX area, and we recently planted 2 hydrangea's . We received 16 inches of rain 2 weeks ago. Since that point my hydranges have wilted and underneath are black leaves. What should I do to save them.
Thanks.

Hi Kathy
A lot of water should NOT be a big issue for hydrangea; they like tons of the stuff. Sounds like all that moisture allowed some sort of fungus to get started, so I'd suggest removing obviously infected leaves and spraying the rest with neem oil or the fungicide of your choice, but certainly something broad spectrum. You guys have been getting a ton of rain, but that's a good thing for new hydrangea (without the fungus issues...)
