Hi all, I am new here, and there is so much good info. Thanks to everyone for all your posts.
So, we have this hydrangea that was just beautiful. My wife put a lot of work into it. She learned a little from her mom about hydrangeas, but this is our first year of really gardening.
The deer left a couple leaves at the base and the stalks. Very sad looking, but not totally dead yet! Is there a way to nurse this guy back?
My wife is away for the day on business, and I would love to have a solution for her before she sees the state of this plant. Maybe I should transplant a new one and see if she notices (haha).

The deers are horrible around here, My dad has to put nets over everything in his yard. I think My neighbors hunting dogs scare them away from mine, but then his goats get out and ate up to 8 ft tall trees in my yard. You Hydrangea will probalby grow back, but it may take a few years to look good again. It will probably need some fertilizing to encourage it. I know I would be upset if they ate the big one thats next to my back porch step up. They make deer and rabbit repellant you can put around the plant so maybe they won't try and finish it off.
