As soon as a bit of root growth develops, you can move it to a pot. I would start out with a small pot and size up as plant and roots develop more fully. Lots plants can be propagated in this fashion. Some years I pinch suckers from tomato plants in May and set them in water. They will develop roots in one or two weeks and then can be set in pots to grow until ready to move into the garden. They can then be used as a fresh set of plants that will give you a late season crop of tomatoes. Kind of neat, being able to use clones of your early tomatoes to extend the season.

Well...I cut the top three to four inches off my mint plant...and I stuck it in a glass of water...only the bottom 1/4 I stick in...I taped it to the side...make sure its a glass so you can see its progress..andywph wrote:Hi,
