I prefer the flat leaf, but to grow it in my hydroponics or in the pots on my deck, I have to grow the curly (not the super curly) - the flat leaf gets incredibly overgrown roots in both of those. I've tried a few types, but they all did the same thing, even one that said it was for growing in pots. One time, in a Jr earthbox - 1 cu ft of soil, almost 7½ gal - I planted just 3 flat leaf parsleys, and after they were full grown, they would wilt, after just one day, in those Sub-irrigated planters! They would suck up the water like a tomato or eggplant would do in a 5 gal bucket. The curly parsley does not get the roots the flat leaf do. I never had the flat leaf wilt in the ground, however.
