From what I have read it is all the same thing... like cilantro on steroids.

Here are a couple of places that sell seed. The seeds are very fine and take a while to germinate. Ngo gai likes a moist shady environment and grows well in the tropics where it is hot and humid under cover or in the shade.

It is a common herb for Pho or recaito.

To harvest culantro seeds. Let the flowers dry and when the seeds turn brown you can rub them off.

I used Nichols Nursery. I was wary because the date on their website is 2015, I believe. So, I called them to make sure they were in business. They are..... and the seeds got to my house in 4 days. Just wanted to thank you.

Planted about 30 seeds over 6 red solo cups.... not one seed has sprouted. Glad I also planted cilantro. The cilantro is doing well.

The seed is very fine. It has to be warm since it is a tropical plant. The seeds are spread out on the surface. The media cannot dry out. It likes 50% shade in the tropics, but it doesn't like to be totally dark. In full sun it bolts and the leaves are small, when it is growing under shade the leaves are bigger. The seeds are slow to germinate and the seedlings stay small for a long time. I usually just seed my pot and put it on the bench where it gets watered every day and I label it. The bench is actually under 35% shade cloth in that section since the rest of the herbs like high light. We keep the ferns, anthuriums, and foliage plants under 67% shade in the other part of the green house. My daytime temps are in the 70's and 80's.
