Is this Thai basil going to taste ok?

I read that letting your basil flower will negatively affect the taste of it. This one had purple flowers on it for quite some time before I pruned it. This is what it looked like pre-pruning.
Thanks.

I have never had any bad flavor or loss of flavor in Thai basil when it flowers. The flowers are often used in foods, mainly as a topping, but they have a good flavor, as well. The main reason I snip the flower buds is because this helps the plants keep growing, but after a while, there are so many it's hard to keep up with them.
