Borage in a trough planter?

So. I did a thing. A thing I'm thinking will end up being bad. I planted some borage in the coco lined trough planters (I'm in college now, so I live in an apartment with a railed balcony). My question is will the borage' taproot grow through the coco lining? If it does and the aeration kills the root, will the borage die? Thanks in advance for any opinions/advice. I love borage so much (goes so great with gin), and would hate to not have any on hand this year.

How big is the container? Borage gets pretty big and needs a lot of room to grow.

and it does have a very deep taproot. I don't know if it could grow through the coco-coir liner, but even if not it might get root bound and stunted.
