Rosemary - is this normal?

I'm trying to figure out if the white coating on the stem and bit of it on the leaves are normal. I read it might be powdery mildew but I think I've seen normal Rosemary with this type of coating before. Can someone verify? Thank you!

The plant looks very healthy. Mine have that white on them too, for years now. It is of no consequence.

When the rosemary puts out new leaves it does have a white fuzz on it. As it matures, it goes away.

If it is powdery mildew it will show up on the leaves too.

The most problems I have with rosemary are spittle bugs and greenhouse orthesia.

I agree and I have never seen rosemary to have powdery mildew. Some plants are very susceptible to it - my lilac tree gets it every year and so does the bee balm. Can't say it never happens, but I've never seen it on rosemary.

Powdery mildew will be unevenly distributed and in little dots:

Rosemary does not need to have a lot of water especially in the ground once it is established, but it needs to have good air circulation.

Thanks all! The plant is indoor that's why I thought it might be powdery mildew.
