What is this? Mint?

I can't seem to figure out what this is. I've looked online at a million pictures of mint, but none seem to match up. That being said, it has a very strong minty scent. Help.

Does it have square stems?

Crush a leaf in your hand and smell it. If it's minty, it's some form of mint. There are lots of kinds of mint, yours has unusually elongated leaves. Put some in some tea and enjoy!

Many herbs are in the mint family including basils and hyssop. Verbena also has square stems.

Looks like "fresh mint", similar to what I have growing, also "sweet mint" has that leave look but my bet is on the "fresh mint"

It does have square stems, so I guess that makes mint likely, but the leaves and shape don't seem to match anything I've found online (similar, but not the same). Any thought on type?

I had some spearmint growing in PA that had elongated leaves like that. Spearmint is unmistakeable. Mine was VERY strong and smelled just like spearmint gum. It made the BEST tea! Hindsight... I wish I had brought some here with me!

I don't want to start a new thread, but could someone identify this mint like plant as well?
Smells a bit lemony I think when I crush the leaves and usually grows in shady places during the whole summer ( starts in late spring I think).

Did it have yellow flowers? That would make it more likely to be lemon balm.

lemon balm also has a slightly lemony flavor. It makes a good tea and is supposed to be calming and restful for a good night's sleep.

I don't thing the flowers are yellow. I don't exactly recall but I thing they looked light purple or light pink.

I might be wrong though.
