Yuck! What is all over my cilantro?

A couple weeks ago bought a cilantro plant that had already sprouted and replanted it in a pot. There were really tiny spider-like bugs crawling on it, but I didn't consider it a concern. Last night, there was a heavy rain, and today there is this gross stuff all over it. I can't tell if it's some sort of web, a nest, a fungus, or something else. Does anyone recognize this? And what should I do about it?

I just zoomed in on one of the "nests" and I think I see a few small eggs or something.

The tiny spidery things probably were spider mites and they are a concern. But I doubt this stuff has anything to do with them. I'm thinking slime mold (a fungus).

yeah, that's a mold, sprouting out of your potting soil. it may take a few leaves with it, but is probably mostly harmless.
