How to take a cutting of mint, then sprout and grow...

Hello,

As the title suggests I'd like to take a cutting of mint from my friends garden tomorrow and grow some at home.

This is quite literally the first time I'm trying anything like this, I'm a first time gardener with a small patio space then only gets a couple of hours light throughout the day!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Thomas.

Propagating mint is usually pretty easy. :)

Take a 4 inch cutting of the plant, place it in a glass of water and wait about 1 - 2 weeks for roots to grow. Keep adding water as it will evaporate over time. When you have a good set of roots, plant it in an appropriate pot and you're done!

Good luck!

Ah, a lot easier than I thought by the sounds of it!

Thanks for your reply.

Thomas.
