Chives not looking great

So I planted my herbs in my containers around 2 weeks ago. I have put a picture below of the set up. They don't get much morning sun, but this pot faces west and so it gets probably 6-8 hours of sun once it passes over my house. The thyme in the top front closest to the camera angle and the dill beside the thyme do not look that great. The chives droop over and some of the thyme vines have turned brown.

Is this normal for the chives?

Agree with MG. Also your afternoon sun will do in your dill fast, and also not be great for chives.

I tried to kill my thyme (some successfully) last summer with too much water during the long hot spell.
