Yeah, once they have true leaves, they will definitely need to be moved to one per cell.

That th same with all the herbs cause some of those were small seeds.
I have little bushes of herbs.

The germ. Rate on my seeds is great and I over did so many per cell.
I'm going to have to start doing 2 or 1 seed per cell now.
My cabbage sprouted over night.

Yeah, easy to do. I have that problem with my spearmint seedlings, similar dust like seeds. I'm having to transplant them as soon as they start showing true leaves because they are so crowded.

But you really can't leave them like that, they can all just die...

And yes, my broccoli (closely related to cabbage) popped up in 36 hrs from being planted..

I tried starting them directly in the garden but earwigs ate the seedlings. So now I am starting them in little cells. I was thinking once they get 1st set of true leaves transplanting to 3-4 inch pot. Is this a good plan?

No, I wouldn't transplant them to a big pot that soon. Let them get a little bigger first...

But yes the general idea is start them in the cells, move them to the 3" pots, and only put them in the garden when they are starting to outgrow the 3" pots, by which time they are bigger and sturdier and less vulnerable to all the vicissitudes of nature in the garden.
