What am I doing wrong with my rosemary?

I live in southern Wisconsin. Several years ago, I tried to grow some rosemary in a container. I heard that you need to move them inside for the winter, which I did, but it still died.

Last year I thought I'd try it again as my gardening skills had improved. I started with a bigger, more bush-like rosemary plant this time (in the hopes that it might be a little more hardy). It grew well in a pot over the summer, and I made sure to bring it inside before the first frost, but after I moved it inside it still died within a few weeks anyway.

What am I doing wrong?

The method I use for overwintering rosemary is described in this thread:

As you can see, you are not the only one to experience problems with indoor rosemary in winter. My lot have survived this winter well and they are ready to be placed outside until fall. I put them outside when the tomatoes are almost ready to be planted out when nigh time temps steadies above 40°F. I'm shaping two of the cutting-grown rosaries into little topiaries. 8)

make sure your container is big enough, rosemary likes to have big roots!!! and make sure that when it is indoors it is getting enough air (it's not surrounded by a lot of "stuff"...other plants etc)
