Tarragon

There are 2 basic tarragons if I get this right. The French tarragon only grown from starts. And the other that can be started from seed. Tagetes lucida aka Winter, Mexican or Spanish tarragon.

I have several plants of the French variety, and brought 2 pots in (3 plants per pot). It is slow growing even outside, and so low yield. Plenty for me, but not much to supply others.

Have any of you grown the Tagetes variety? How is taste? yield? did you bring any inside for winter use? Pots or ground?
