I've done google searches and gotten books and I still can't seem to find a straight answer on these things!
I'm growing sage, oregano and basil. I have no idea how to harvest any of these things (although I have just been pinching off leaves as needed from the basil).
1. how and when do I harvest the sage? how do I dry or store it?
2. how and when do I harvest the oregano? it's not really growing up, more like out! I've read that I can dry it by hanging it in bunches. can I do that outside in the shade? in my basement? on my porch?
it's pretty hot here, 80s and 90s and humid generally (near new york city). thanks!
