Soil and plant food for potted herbs

I was wondering if there is any good organic plant food that I should put in my potted plants? They are mostly all currently in Miracle Grow brand Orgnaic soil with vegetables on the cover. Do I need to add anything to these?

This is my outdoor setting

That should be ok. If you can use fish emulsion, that is a really nice extra fertilizer for container plants, that you can just add to the watering can. But the IF is because the fish scent drives cats and raccoons (and probably a few other critters) crazy and they dig up the plants trying to get to it. Since I have indoor and outdoor cats, and raccoons outdoors, doesn't work for me.

If you have access to earthworm castings, that's another really good amendment for container plants.
