Herb Garden

I have various herbs in pots and in the ground. I have noticed some in the ground are getting over powered and too shaded by other plants. The ones in pots are mainly in large pots along a back drive (not used as a drive), and can be up on bricks for drainage and to help keep visiting critters out. I do have to retract some of what I said about herbs not doing in shade. In real shade not so good, partial OK. This area mentioned has light shade, dappled, and some real sun and works!
For next season I may get a couple of larger pots and just get them all in that area. The larger the pot, the better they winter.

In the area now are thyme, basil, tarragon, mint, chives. Need to get the savory and pennyroyal out of the ground garden (or get new starts in May). Mint gets a dedicated pot, the others can be mixed.

Now if I can just remember all the bright ideas next spring!!
