My Basil is keeping me busy.
My basil is trying to flower so I keep picking off the flowers along with the top 2 leaves about every 3 days. I picked a pretty good batch of basil today, enough to fill a 4 cup container compacted a little. So today I made Pesto. WOW.....that was the best Pesto I every had in my life.

Every year in the fall when they start slowing down, I pull all my basil plants and process them all into pesto which I divide up in freezer baggies and freeze. Then in the depth of winter, I just pull out a baggie and warm it up in warm water and have instant yummy dinner... in mid winter the pesto tastes like concentrated sunshine/ memory of summer.
