Nana becoming yellow

Hello there.
I recently planted some Nana (mint) in my garden in a lighted spot.
During the last week the bottom leaves on the plant has become yellow, and each day more and more leaves at the bottom are changing.
Anyone knows why that is?

Also,
I noticed I am getting snails... any idea how to keep their dirty hands off my mint?
Thanks :)

Read a *very thorough* discussion about snail management at

Where do you live (regionally) and what kind of conditions does your mint deal with? Generally, mint is considered invasive and almost indestructible, but I can envision some rare circumstances under which it might suffer.
