This guy is beyond good. I particularly like the awesome photography backed up by wonderful commentaries as well as clear and concise annotations that all levels of gardeners can understand.

I understand he speaks frequently out east. Sure do wish I could attend a symposium where he was a guest speaker.

I agree, excellent book. I got my copy a couple of weeks ago and I've really enjoyed it. Found a lot of new plants that I want to try.

His writing style is pleasant to read and he has a great sense of humor. In depth coverage without being overly technical.

Two of his other books, combined with the 'Native Ferns, Moss, and Grasses" book, make a nice "set" for anyone interested in growing native plants.
