Lupine

Anyone growing Lupine? I am thinking it doesn't like the muggy midsouth and southeast areas. It is exceptional in the northern areas. Also Texas has the Blue Bonnet. That suffers here, perhaps the humidity.
I couldn't resist any longer, and got a packet of seeds off the rack Lupine -Russell hybrid mixed colors. Planted in peat pellets 6/29, and already popping up. These are started for next season. Duh! I have seen this variety from 2 different seed companies. One has notation that it does best with cool spring and summer. Perhaps that answers the question that it is not good here.

Anyone growing it, what variety?

I planted a couple packs of old Russel Hybrid and got one that came up. They don't like being moved due to their long taproot so I don't know what I'm going to do with it this fall, it's in a big pot. I've tried growing them before but always lost them. I figure this one will be the same and never get a chance to flower.
