Before I till it under - what is this?

I'm about to till the beds to prep for next season. I've been nursing this weed, waiting for it to flower or something for identification. Now it's just changing color for the fall. Maybe it's a biennial. Anybody know what it is?

You would think I would know because I have some in my yard, but I don't know and couldn't find it in a couple of "weed gallery" sites.

Just wanted to let you know we weren't ignoring you!

:)

Maybe Kisal will yet come along with her weed identification book...

This is a terrific resource for plant IDs, including grasses.

Excellent descriptions, clear photographs. From Illinois.
