sweet cicely?

I'm looking for a source for american sweet cicely (osmorhiza) for my native plant woodland shade garden. Preferably live plants since I've heard the seeds are a little hard to get started, but seeds if necessary. Anyone know where to find it? thanks much

I did a search in this forum for osmorhiza and found a few posts where people are using it. Maybe contact them directly to see where they got theirs (I saw The Lorax and "Opabmia (sp?) listed this in a native species thread).

There's also a "seed swapping" forum on the main page... Also, perhaps check the native plant nurseries listed in this forum (I think its a separate topic).

Good luck!

If you're looking for suppliers of native plants, check this free service of the University of Minnesota library: https://plantinfo.umn.edu/ (you can also search for plant information and book and magazine citations)

Enter the name of the plant and find nurseries (retail and wholesale) that *ship* (both seeds and plants). They provide vendor names, contact information and links to nursery websites.

Of course, it helps to pick a source that's closest to you in climate and therefore enhance your chances of success :)
