look what popped up

I had this plant about 3 years in a pot and it hardly grew, this February I planted it in the garden and this is the result. Can anybody tell me what it is please.
It has grown 3 feet in as many months....Is it a TRIFFID?

The flower looks kinda like a spider lily but if the leaves are from the same plant then I'm wrong

Thanks for the info; I cannot tell if the leaves are from the same plant because although they come out of the earth at the same place I have never had the flowers when the leves were in a pot for 3 years.
