Hilton Pond Garden Blog

Tried to start a new thread on Hilton Pond over in the gardening blog area and couldn't.

https://www.hiltonpond.org/ThisWeek080301.html

Received a prompt that only moderators could start threads there and am thinking this is a boo boo.

Looks like a lovely place to visit, but the website could be better laid out. For instance, basic things like Where it is, address, driving directions to the pond, hours of operations should all be just a click away.

Hey, is this near Hilton Head? Would love to visit someday.

I posted a link to that particular blog because they showcased a southern Wisconsin Winter Pilgrimage from a week ago in which the focus was on The Conservation Legacy Of Aldo Leopold. He's one of my favorite authors. Hilton Pond is located in South Carolina where Hilton Head is also located.

Little bit more information on the Hilton Pond organization:
https://www.hiltonpond.org/

Their mission statement-
The mission of Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History is to "conserve animals, plants, habitats, and other natural components of the Piedmont Region of the eastern United States through observation, scientific study, and education
for students of all ages."
Can't comment about the website design. I couldn't design a website to save my life.

Hm, yes interesting site! Great find.

I should send them my info and offer to design a new site. The comic sans + lots of bold color fonts went out in the 90s of web design.
