Here are a pair of Forsythias that I collected in the spring of 2006.

No witch hazel but I do have some young Quince I've been growing out. Unfortunately some unknown rodent got to them this past winter and chewed them nearly to the ground. The good news is that nearly all have sprouted anew. Are they the first to bloom or do you have witch hazel, too?
Thanks Alex, the tricky part is finding one with a trunk rather than a jumble of thinner shoots.Wow, never would have imagined that forsythia would make an interesting bonsai candidate. Really, nice and interesting looking plant/presentation.
