I am in the process of selecting a pot? Any suggestions are welcome.
I am proud of the outcome.

jahjer,
I would be proud too, it looks good. As far as the pot goes, I've never really considered myself adept at choosing pots. But if you have a pot in mind I would be happy to do a virtual for you. If you were to cut the rim of the current pot just a bit lower I could do a better job for you.

I have mine in a round Iker pot that is semi-matte, mostly neutral sort of beige with pink tones (to complement the flowers). Yours looks to be more suited to an oval or "soft rectangle". I would try to stay away from the darker natural clays. Even the lighter clays, especially mattes, will, I think, seem a bit "off".
This Iker pot would be awesome for a nice, full Malpighia, I think:

jahjer,
Here's your virtual using the pot Kdodds (thanks, I like your choice) suggested. Sorry it's a bit crude, to do it properly I would need both the tree and the pot photographed from the same vantage point and against the same background.

LOL, thanks Norm, though the pot is no longer available, I purchased it this morning. But, jahjer, if you contact Chuck, he can probably replicate it. I don't know if he'd be willing to do it in an oval, though. This particular pot is round and will be awaiting the right dwarf crepe myrtle or M. glabra or possibly one of my Punica.
