Bonsai Photos - Oct 06 East Bay Bonsai Society Show Part 1

Hi everyone!
These are just a few of the bonsai pics I took. There are many more on the way. I'm resizing them myself and it takes a bit of time, so I'm going to be posting these bit by bit.

Please note that I posted a pic of the plant label first, and the plant it corresponds to follows.

I have to commend the East Bay Bonsai Society for putting on a great show. Their members were very gracious and friendly and I look forward to joining their chapter in January.

I even purchased a little bonsai, too. :)

The following is a Japanese Maple grown from seed found in the Japanese Imperial garden. Sixty years old. I'm posting this one out of sequence because one of the members wanted to see it. I'll post more of these in a later post. ;)

WM,
Thank you for taking the time to shoot and post these. It is allways nice to see what is happening at bonsai clubs/shows.

60yo for the seedling from the emperors garden, I'd like to get a cutting off of that 8) just for the history.

[Even though it is nothing special] If everyone could just ignore the wiring scars, I would appreciate that.

Yep this is just a ficus cutting that I rooted. When I cut the tops off of my ficus forest, I tried to root them all [They all made it too! :D ]
I have heaps of bits like this [Because I don't throw any bonsai bits away..]
I have 5 or 6 of these pots from a 6 pack of cacti.

s

I went to that show. It was nice seeing all the great bonsai and getting ideas for my own tiny trees. I'm also going to the show this weekend at the Yamato bonsai Kai in Hayward.

Yes, I have the flyer for that. Not sure if I'll be able to swing by though. I have some family commitments.

I live near a pottery factory outlet, in Williamsburg, VA.

There I have purchased over 20 little (varying sizes, I picked each one) for about 6 bucks US dollars. They are super cheap there! I don't know if they do, but you can look for their website and see if you can buy them online. Like I said real cheap. 1.5 inch standard clay pot (like the one in your pic) brand new about 15 cents each.
