new juniper

I just got this tree, I'm new to bonsai. Ive read alot and tried to prune and wire some stuff. I have a couple questions: Is it ok to use the wires in the summer time? I read somewhere that's not a good idea. Also how can I shape it to make it taller? I want it to do a kind of upward coil. does the tree get taller looking on its own? or does someone have some hints as to how I can coil the tree upward is it too mature?

hi sorry to say this but I think u shuld remove the rock and the gravel if they are glued on they sure look it. it will help you decide better when to water the tree
about shaping it if u want it taller the let it grown withput cutting it shorter the branch taht you want to develop its that simple
let the that branch u want grow longer and longer then when its abit thick turning brown u can use wire (copper annealed ) to coil it and twist it the way u want

I got rid of them right after I took this picture lol they weren't glued. ok thanks that sounds fairly uncomplicated.
