And a neea buxifolia the trunk may look thin but all my bonsai have a trunk as or thicker than the thickness of a thumb. I don't purchase sticks in pots:lol:

Very impressive collection you've got going there. I remember all the changes you went through with that Fukien Tea, but it's in nice shape now.

A couple of questions:
Is the Fukien Tea in 100% sphagnum moss?
And did you get your Black Olives from Miami as well?

They all look nice. Living in Fla. really has it's advantages when working with Tropical and Sub-tropical plants.

The fukien tea is only half in sphagnum and half in traditional soil the top half is pure sphagnum and the bottom pure soil

Yes both were purchased from nursery stock in Miami Tropical Bonsai Garden aka The bonsai garden of Miami. They were purchased and styled by myself. Kinda proud of them ..

And thanks!! Oh and I wanted to know if it might be possible to grow a maple bonsai here in florida?

Yes a variety of maples can be grown in Florida. The Florida maple would be your best choice, these can be found by swamps but will tolerate and even thrive in drier soil. I currently collected a Florida Maple as of now it's a stump with a tiny leader twig. Once mine starts producing some shoots I'll post some pictures :]
