Green bean help.

I just bought 11 green bean plants tonightnand I need to know what type of container would be best.I hace two large rubbermade tubs I can use,20 gallon probably?

Questions are

#1,How deephould I make the soil, the tubs are deep and will probably have to be cut down some.

#2,How far apart should I space each plant?

#3,do they need full sun?

Thanks
Jason.

If you're going to drill holes in the bottom, you might consider also securing a set of heavy-duty casters (wheels) -- available from hardware stores -- with tie-wrap (easiest way) to make it a mobile container like someone else mentioned here.

Great idea but my containers sit on and artound a picnic table,Surrounded by this dreadfull bamboo I'm constantly cutting. So ang moving of the containers is done by me lifting.

If your beans are pole beans and the bamboo is canepole-type -- you got yourself a handy source for your bean supports. If the bamboo is timber-type, you could lay them on the ground, lashed together and make a bamboo patio....

Well I will just guess and plant them in 8 inches of soil and 5 inches apart.
