another moan

nothing seems to be growing much this year apart from spuds,outside veg is very poor, green house is slow except for melon plants.
is it due to lack of sunlight as opposed to just light and the wet conditions.
and of course our slimy friends aren't helping, slugs and snails one wonders why they were put on this earth.and the decline in hedgehogs although we have a few that we encourage.
