I have this 80cm by 120cm wooden box with 40cm of dirt that has been very successful at growing strawberries runners and leaves, but it hardly generates any fruit.

I guess it's too dense.

Should I trim it now or wait till next Spring (location is Switzerland)? And how much should I trim?
