I was recently given a poinsettia as a gift. As with my annual issue of Amaryllis, I cannot keep those Christmas plants alive to get them to rebloom. I'd like to actually get a poinsettia to live longer, but I just don't know enough about them other than they originated in Mexico, and they're poisonous. So my questions are these:
1. Do poinsettias like it warm and humid?
2. After the red flower pedals die, should I put the plant outside in my greenhouse?
3. Do poinsettias need or like direct sunlight?
4. What are the water requirements?
5. What are the fertilizer requirements?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me!
