We live in NE Arkansas and have a banana pepper plant in a container. It seems to be doing very well, many flowers and 1/2 dozen or so peppers already growing. We have noticed some of the leaves have little black spots on them, they do not rub off. Is this harmful to the plant?

Thank you :)

It would be helpful to see a photo or two. Or try providing as detailed description as possible.

Hello! I've grown sweet banana before, and am growing it again this year. Black spots on the leaves? Please provide a picture if you can. Examine your plants closely to see if you notice any insects.

Hmm. I'm hoping it's not a bacterial spottting...

I'm wondering if it may be baterical spots. I suggest you pinch off the infected leaves right away, and if you can, separate the plant from others to keep the disease from spreading to any of your others.
