Swedish ivy does not hang

I started a pot of swedish ivy from cuttings and rooting powder approximately 1 1/2 years ago. The plant has thrived but the stems have not draped down the sides of the pot. Any rationale as to why and suggestions as to how to encorage draping ?

What is the length of the stems? They have to get pretty long before they start bending down.

Do they get plenty of light? Any plant will tend to stretch up more vertically if it is not getting enough light.

A picture might help.

The stems are approx. 9" to a foot in length. The plant gets afternoon sun ,in a west facing window.
Re; your comment I am noticing that some of the longer stem are beginning to hang. I've attached a photo for your review.
Thank you for your advice.
