Begonia plant dropping leaves

My begonia plant lives outdoors in my lanai, in the shade, here in Clearwater. Up until now it has been very healthy. All of a sudden it has started to drop leaves. It has been in the mid 90's for about a month now and I water all of my plants every 9 days. Do I need to give them more water?

Does the soil feel dry before you water? It's not a very good idea to simply water on a set schedule. You need to water when the soil starts to dry out.
