Areca palm stem broken

Hi guys

In a recent storm, my areca palm toppled and as a result the stem has actually bent a bit. It is not broken completely. Should I remove the stem entirely or is there anyway I can make it upright again? Please see pic attached.

I don't think you can heal it. It's just stem to one of the leaf stalks, right? I would think you can just cut it off.

Okay..thanks. Should I cut it off right where it attaches to the main stem?
