Help with my Pachira

I recently purchased a pachira and the leaves were bright green but the soil was dry so as per the directions I soaked the pot in water but a little longer than called for and the next day I noticed that all the leaves were a dull green and the new leaves that were coming were all dead. Can my plant still be saved.
